Research Summary

My research focuses on the bioinspired assembly and functionalization of protein-based nanofibers within liquid-liquid phase separation systems. I have developed novel biomimetic functional materials such as protein fibrillosomes and bacterial capture nets, with applications in live cell/organoid encapsulation culture and drug-resistant bacterial clearance, among other biomedical fields. I have authored over 30 SCI/EI-indexed publications, which have garnered over 2,600 citations (Google Scholar). I hold 6 authorized international and domestic patents. As first author or corresponding author, I have published in prestigious international journals including Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Science. Upon returning to China, my work leverages the National Major Science and Technology Infrastructure for Translational Medicine (Shanghai) and the State Key Laboratory of Metal Matrix Composites to pioneer the innovation, development, and application of biomimetic medical materials. My current primary research thrust involves the molecular design, phase transition regulation, biological effects, and biomedical engineering applications of artificial liquid organelles (intrinsically disordered protein condensates).
